Why do I need to apply fertilizer? 

• • Over time, soil can lose its fertile properties making it difficult for any plant to establish robust root systems. This is especially true with ground that has been stripped of its topsoil. In addition to soil infertility, there are common elements that are beneficial to plant growth and are typically applied annually. Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) or NPK for short, are the core to an annualized fertilization plan that feeds the plants on your landscape the nutrients they need.

Herbicide Application 

When to use herbicides? 

• • Herbicides are necessary when specific plants need to be removed or controlled, which can not be done mechanically. Many people often think of treating dandelions in lawns when thinking about herbicides, but there are also many more instances for the appropriate use of herbicides. For example, in wooded lots, the herbicide is an alternative to control the spread of poison oak and ivy or bush honeysuckle.

Pesticide Application 

When to use pesticides? 

• • There are instances when fungus, bacterias, and insects can kill plants. Pesticides are often applied to stop this from happening and can be organic or synthetic.
